Imageless is proud to republish Japanese photography legend Koji Onaka's first work in color, Tokyo Candy Box. Initially published in 2001, the book explores a city deep in transition.
Portraying the relentless hustle of city life, often through scenes void of human presence, Onaka captures the innate contradictions of the metropolis. Twenty years on, the work tells stories of transition, optimism, and now nostalgia.
This new edition contains 77 photographs, including 22 photos not included in the original 2001 publication.
